About John Wilson

Recognised internationally as an expert in the specialist fields of light music, jazz and music for screen. He had a triumphant return to the Proms this summer conducting his own orchestra in a programme celebrating 75 years of MGM musicals, televised live on BBC2.

The John Wilson Orchestra

The core of The John Wilson Orchestra is a vibrant all-star Big Band, which is regularly augmented with a full string section for studio session and album recordings. The Orchestra recorded the soundtrack for Kevin Spacey's movie Beyond The Sea.
